Rhythm Kids^® returns with a Wednesday afternoon class starting October 1st

New this fall - we're launching a new twist on the Mixed-Age Family Class called Generations - where your family will get to mix and mingle with new grand friends. Visit our Classes page to learn more and save your spot in class.

Coming up this fall - a Costume party and Birthday party to celebrate Music Together by the Bay's 20th Birthday!!

Registration is now open for our 2025 Summer session. Split into two mini-sessions, our summer program is jam-packed with musical fun, while allowing families flexibility around summer plans. Join us as we explore the Music Together^® Banjo® collection, featuring favorites from many Music Together song collections. Sign up for one or both mini-sessions. Keep the same day and time all summer, or switch your days to fit your travel schedule. Whatever you choose, we'll have lots of musical fun together!

Join us for the Tambourine collection this Spring! We'll play, dance, and sing together as we explore twenty-five Music Together songs and activities you can recreate at home, including our first French-Canadian folk song, "V'là l'bon vent." Your children will experience the contrast between galloping, slowing, sleeping, then jumping up with delight to gallop again in "See the Pony Galloping." In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials for you to use at home, including an illustrated songbook and access to the songs through the Music Together app.

We're hosting a special New Year's Eve celebration for families with kids under 10. Wear your festive jammies or comfiest clothes. We'll provide snacks, crafts, and games. We'll have a special New Year's Eve countdown at 5pm complete with sparkling cider too! We hope you join us to mark the end of 2024 and celebrate the arrival of 2025!

This winter session, your little ones will love jumping and hiding in “John the Rabbit” and “Sneak and Peek.” You’ll all be mesmerized by the beautiful lullaby, “Arroró, mi niño” and enjoy the catchy rhythms of “Jim Jam Drummer.” In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes recordings and materials for you to use at home, including an illustrated songbook and access to the songs through the Music Together app.

Summer is just around the corner!  We know that summer is a busy time, full of vacations, family visits, and soaking up all of the outdoor activities while the weather is at its best. Rhythm Kids^® Pop-Up Classes July 13, August 3 & 17
Our Rhythm Kids^® program is designed for older kids (4-6) who are ready for the next step in their musical education journey. Rhythm Kids^® still get to sing, dance, and jam in a playful environment, are able to listen and follow directions, have mostly grasped basic music competence and are ready to develop their music skills. They   may attend classes with or without parents, too! Our summer pop-up classes are a great way to try out the next step and see if your big kid is ready to be a Rhythm Kid this fall! Pop-Up Singalongs in Elizabeth Park July 27 & August 24

Everyone is welcome to join us for two special afternoon classes at Elizabeth Park in Bellingham! We'll all bring our blankets and chairs, and create an outdoor classroom under the big shade trees. Request your favorite songs from any collection! Alumni families welcome, no age limits for these grand gatherings.
Classes are 4pm - 4:45, we recommend you pack a picnic dinner and stay for the free concerts in Elizabeth Park at 6pm! Register HERE

Registration continues for our Fall classes. We are thrilled to welcome a new teacher to our center, who will be teaching our Wednesday, 5pm classes.

Teacher Erin is a classically trained cellist who loves playing folk and fiddle music on her cello too! Erin plays in the Whatcom Symphony Orchestra, and travels all over to teach camps and workshops.  You can read her full bio on our Teachers page.

Hello friends!

Our Winter session is wrapping up, and usually we would be announcing registration and the start dates for our Spring session. This year, due Teacher Heather's upcoming surgeryat the end of April, we're going to skip right over Spring and jumpstart registration for our full-length summer session!

We know that summer is a busy time for families. This summer we're offering a special program that lets you schedule your family music time aroud your family's summer plans. Choose from 10, 8, or 6-class Flex Class packages.

Classes will be held for 10 weeks on Thursday and Friday mornings at 10:00 am, from June 16 hrough August 19. That's 20 individual class sessions for your family to build your custom schedule. 

During our summer session we will explore the Music Together Tambourine Collection, featuring 3 brand-new songs and some new recordings of past favorites. We can't wait to share this collection with your family!

Register for a package, then fill out the form in your registration confirmation to select the specific days you would like to attend. We need at least 10 families to sign up for one of our packages to make this session financially feasible. Please share the program with a friend, get a referrel discount on your enrollment, and help keep the musical fun going all summer long!

Singing, dancing, and exploring music with your little ones in our fresh-air studio is a great way to chase away the winter blues!

This semester we'll explore the Music Together Drum Collection, featuring one of our all-time Family Favorites^®, "John the Rabbit" and 24 more songs to explore across a variety of genres. You'll be mesmerized by the beautiful lullaby, "Arroró, mi niño" and enjoy the catchy rhythms of "Jim Jam Drummer." In addition to nine live weekly classes, tuition includes audio recordings to play at home and on the go, a colorful illustrated family songbook, and resources with bonus music-making ideas to try at home.

Our nine week Music Together Online Spring Session starts April 21st. Sign up today for livestream classes, digital access to the Music Together Maracas song collection, access to activities and additional content only for registered families. Missed some classes? For this session only, we're welcoming families to sign up any time before May 22nd. Your tuition will be automatically pro-rated based on your start date. 

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Music Together, LLC has announced that all independent centers now offer online classes. We are so excited to bring the magic of our music program into your living room! 
While Music Together Online classes do not replace the richness of our beloved in-class program, we are grateful that Music Together has thoughtfully adapted the program to allow flexibility during this crisis.

Fall session is coming soon! Open registration for fall classes will begin Tuesday, August 27th. Demo classes will begin the week of September 9th and our full 10 week session will start the follow week - September 16th through the 20th. These classes will be running Wednesdays and Fridays with an option for an afternoon class Wednesdays at 4:00 PM and two different times to choose from on Friday either 9:00 AM or 10:00 AM in the hopes of working with various naptimes! Come join us for our Flute collection in this 10 week session full of music, movement, and fun!

Summer is infull swing! We hope you're making music while you are out and about with your little ones this summer! Need some inspiration or some friends to sing with? Join us at our Summer Sing-Along at Elizabeth Park on August 1 and 22nd at 4:30pm. We'll set up a classroom under the big shade trees and sing our hearts out in the great outdoors. Invite a friend or two and bring a picnic blanket or towel. We'll piece them together to create one big surface for our singing circle. We'll bring the instruments and jam under the trees. Stay after our sing-along to enjoy the free concert at 6pm. It's a Bellingham tradition, and a lot of fun for the whole family!

Spring is here and we are ready to sing, dance and play music with you and your child with our Tamborine collection now with several new songs added to the bunch! Greetings friends,  we have some sad news to share regarding our spring session.  We recently received word that the Bellingham Folk School will be closing at the end of April.  This has been our home for the last 2 years, and we will miss hosting classes from this cozy space. We have not yet located a new home for Music Together by the Bay.  Please email or message us if you know if any rental space available for $10-15 per class (1hr and 15 minutes with set-up and clean-up.)  Due to this development, we will not be starting the Spring session in April as we usually do.  Instead we will extend our current Winter session through next Saturday, April 14 for all classes, and host a special open house / singalong for all current, alumni, and prospective families on Saturday, April 21.

Hello! Our Winter session will be starting in February.  We hope you plan to join us! This semester, you’ll learn twenty-five songs and activities, including a rousing new rendition of the American folksong, “Alabama Gal”—great for dancing with a partner even when you’re not at a hoe-down! Our version of this traditional tune features banjo, harmonica, and cajon (a Peruvian box drum). The Bells collection also includes Music Together favorites like “Me, You, and We,” which is often one of the first songs little ones learn to sing, “Trot Old Joe,” and “The Bells of Westminster.” In addition to your weekly classes, your tuition includes materials for you to use at home, access to the online Family Music Zone^®, a family newsletter full of resources and music-making ideas, and a special musical PJ party to celebrate Sing With Your Child Month!

Greetings!  We are looking forward to the start of our Winter session next week.  This session we will be exploring the Sticks collection, featuring 24 classic and original songs for us to enjoy in our classes this session.  Some of our all-time favorite Music Together songs are in this collection, including Jack in the Box, Don Alfredo Baila, and Mary Wore a Red Dress.  We can't wait to sing, dance, and get a little silly in class this winter.  We hope you will join us!
